After delivering babies for 25 years, Dr. Petersen now limits his practice to gynecology. He has an interest in infertility evaluation and treatment. Dr. Petersen and his wife are involved in regular mission trips to Bangladesh and Togo, West Africa. He enjoys golf and travel, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. Dr. Petersen is a graduate of the University Of Nebraska College Of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed his residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Los Angeles, CA. Dr. Petersen is board certified from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1981 and is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Christian Medical Dental Association.

Obstetrics is his main joy in medicine and he truly enjoys working with patients from prenatal care through delivery, with a special interest in ultrasound and diabetic pregnancies. Dr. Simon is married and has four children. He enjoys soccer, fitness, running, church activities, and feels committed to short term missions as a way to share both his medical skills and the Gospel. Dr. Simon is a graduate of the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine. He completed his family practice residency at Martin Army Hospital in Fort Benning, GA. He went on to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology by completing his residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Simon is board certified from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1990 and he is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Borkowski has been with Fairhaven since 1998 and is the first female physician to join the Fairhaven group. She has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent gynecology, as well as being trained in treating urinary incontinence and pelvic prolapse. She is also trained in infertility particularly tubal reversals. Dr. Borkowski enjoys the “family friendly” lifestyle in Goshen, and enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her husband and their four daughters. Dr. Borkowski is a graduate of the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, OH. She completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, OH. Dr. Borkowski is board certified from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2000.

Dr. Maes has been with Fairhaven since 2001. He has a special interest in high risk obstetrics and urogynecology with special training in pelvic reconstructive surgery. Dr. Maes is also a Registered Pharmacist. He is married to Jan and has three daughters. Dr. Maes is a graduate of the University Of Health Science College Of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO. He completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Maes is board certified from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1998, and is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association.

Dr. Bontrager has been trained as a family physician but is currently focusing on women’s health and health promotion. She feels that lifestyle issues are an essential component of women’s health. Dr. Bontrager is married and has three daughters. She enjoys running and gardening. Dr. Bontrager is a graduate of the University Of Iowa College Of Medicine in Iowa City, IA. She completed her family practice residency at St. Joe Methodist Regional Medical Center in South Bend, IN. She is board certified from the American Board of Family Medicine since 1996 and was recertified in 2003.

Dr. Lane is one of our newest additions to the Fairhaven group. She has a special interest in pelvic surgery including laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy and pelvic reconstruction. Her Spanish-speaking skills also allow her to continue to meet the needs of culturally diverse patient populations. Dr. Lane enjoys sharing evening walks, movies, road trips and church activities with her husband of almost 10 years and stepdaughter. Dr. Lane is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health where she pursued a dual-degree in medicine and health care administration. She is a 2007 graduate of her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. She is board eligible from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
